Clear, compliant signage allows instinct to take over when thinking time disappears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to South African standards set by South African National Standards, fire signage must be:<br>\u2022 Clearly visible<br>\u2022 Permanently installed<br>\u2022 Correctly positioned above equipment<br>\u2022 Photoluminescent where required<br>\u2022 Standardised in colour, symbols, and wording<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fire extinguisher signs indicate the location and type of extinguisher. Directional arrows guide users in low visibility. Escape route signs lead occupants toward safety even during power failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without signage, an extinguisher may as well be invisible. During inspections, missing or incorrect signage is one of the most common compliance failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Good signage doesn\u2019t shout.
